My name is Kylee and I’m creating this GoFundMe on behalf of Charlie and his 3 children Alexis, Franki, and Charlie. Alexis just finished nursing school and stepped into the role of his caregiver, and their world changed overnight.

Charlie was rushed to the hospital Monday night 12/8 after a sudden seizure, and we learned he has a tumor in his brain. The swelling caused bleeding, and he had to be intubated and sedated in the Neuro ICU. Doctors strongly suspect that this tumor may be metastatic melanoma, and scans have also shown concerning nodules in his lungs and lymph nodes. They are still waiting on final biopsy results.

He is scheduled for brain surgery this Tuesday 12/16 so the neurosurgery team can remove the tumor and relieve the pressure and swelling. As terrifying as this is they are hopeful, and know this surgery is his best chance at recovery.

The emotional and financial strain has hit them fast. Alexis is juggling time off work, daily hospital visits, transportation, meals, and what will soon be significant medical expenses.

Alexis just completed nursing school, never would she imagine the first person she would be caring for is her own dad. Being by his side is their priority, and any support helps them focus on him without added financial stress.

Charlie the strongest and most resilient person who has battles through all of life challenges. Seeing him fight through this has been heartbreaking, but everyone is staying hopeful and surrounding him with love.
