Support Charlie C. Lakony's Final Journey Home

Mr. Charlie Clifford Lakony Passed away on Sunday, March 9th, 2025, at Scripps Mercy Hospital in Chula Vista, California.

His loss is deeply felt by the entire Lakony and Kibwota family, as well as the wider Ugandan community in San Diego and beyond.

Charles lived a life of compassion, humor, and generosity. He was known for his warmth, wisdom, and ability to bring people together. In honoring his wishes and heritage, we are working to repatriate his body to Uganda so he may be laid to rest in his ancestral home.

The total cost of repatriation and funeral expenses is $25,000 USD. This includes preparation and transport of the body, funeral services, and associated logistics in both the U.S. and Uganda.
