Charles J Brooks has always put others first, especially his children and grandchildren. He’s the kind of person who loves to play ball, spend time with family and friends, and bring joy to those around him. Recently, Charles suffered a stroke that has changed everything for our family. He now needs constant supervision to ensure his safety, and his recovery will be a long journey.

Before the stroke, Charles and I worked together to rebuild our home after a storm left it damaged. Now, our house isn’t safe for him, and I’m doing everything I can to make it secure while also caring for him. Balancing repairs, work, and his daily needs has become overwhelming, especially since he can’t be left alone.
