Support Charles' Battle Against Stage 4 Cancer

Charles looks like the picture of health celebrating Thanksgiving with family. A month after this picture was taken, Charles who had recently turned 50, had his first PSA test. Something wasn’t right, which led to more tests, scans, imaging, a biopsy and trips to Mayo in Rochester, MN. All this revealed stage 4 prostate cancer. He is working with a cancer team and a treatment plan to fight the disease.

As you can imagine a cancer diagnosis is hard to process. He has a young family and his treatment is aggressive so he has the best chance of survival. He and his family will be going back and forth to Mayo for treatment throughout the summer. They will relocate to MN for a month while he is receiving daily radiation.

Charles began a military life at a young age. He served about nine years in the United States Army of which he is now a veteran. Charles frequently practices Matthew 6:1-4. He does unto the Lord serving the homeless, those with addiction in Wausau and other communities throughout Wisconsin. Charles started his own ministry four years ago helping churches, nonprofit organizations, and local ministry organizations. He serves as a chaplain wherever he is called or led by the Lord. It brings him joy to show the love and forgiveness of Christ and to help people to trust in Jesus.

Charles is not one to ask for help or a hand out. These next few months are going to take a toll on him physically and financially. Prior to his cancer diagnosis he had unresolved daily debilitating migraines that prevented him from working.
