Hi, my name is Chris and along with my brother Michael, we have the pleasure of having the mom we do. Our mom, Charlene, has filled every single role she has needed to fill throughout our entire lives. She raised us by herself when our father left when we were babies and never complained about how busy it was. She worked full-time to support us and made sure we had everything we needed and more while we were growing up. We were able to be active in extracurriculars, make friends, and just be kids in every sense of the word. She always made time to be there when we needed her and to this day I don't understand how she was able to do it. She is our superhero. She is the best mom we could have asked for.

In 2016, she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She was able to have a hysterectomy and thankfully recovered from the cancer. It was a terrifying couple of months in our lives for everyone, but mom kept up a strong front and never made Michael or me worry. Our community came together and was able to not only fundraise some money to help her out but also showed her how important and loved she is. It was beautiful to see and filled our little family with joy and gratefulness. It's something we could never forget.

In October of 2024, she was diagnosed with cancer again. This time there is no easy surgery to get rid of it, and she is going to have to undergo chemotherapy and radiation. She gets her chemo port put in on October 9th and has a PET scan on October 14th to see if it has spread and the severity of it. After this, the chemo and radiation sessions will start. During this time, she will not be able to work, which has been hard for her. She also does not have any health insurance at the moment. She is a workaholic and hates to be in the position of relying on others. So Michael and I decided we would put this together because she would never ask herself.

If you are in a position to possibly donate some money, our family would be forever grateful. This would go to my mom to help her with things such as rent, medical bills, and food. Michael and I are helping her as much as we can, but we just aren't quite able to help as much as she needs and deserves. If a monetary donation isn't possible, then sending her a message of support would be amazing as well. Michael and I love her so much and want to do everything we can to show her support during this time when she needs it most.
