Support Charlene Keenan After John's Passing

My name is Maureen and my parents are John and Charlene Keenan. Mom is an incredible monarch for our family. This past Friday on 01/31/2025 things changed for our family. With a new house on the horizon for mom and dad they were excited for the new adventure due to dads failing health. We needed a bigger home to accommodate nursing care and then in the future end of life care. Unfortunately, mom and dad became very ill on Thursday 01/30/2025 while in the hotel waiting on the house closing. They were both rushed by ambulance to WDH on 01/31/2025. Mom severely sick with Influenza A and MRSA of her lungs. Dad with at the time unknown aspiration pneumonia due to his end stage dementia. Dad each passing day was weaker and weaker and unresponsive. A decision had to be made to make a DNR so he did not suffer all while mom was very ill herself in isolation. With all love , prayers and one on one time with each family member and grandchild with touch and sounds of family voices dad took his final breath on Saturday February 08, 2025 at 8:30am just four days short of my parents 53rd wedding anniversary. Life will certainly look a lot different for our family and mom. Even though dad worked up to age 77 it was discovered he did not have life insurance policy. Mom will need to pay the funeral expenses out of pocket. Mom is still on the mend as well as grieving. This is a lot to take in not only for her but also our family.
