Help Charity and Her Children Find Healing After Years of Chronic Illness

Thank you so much for taking a look at our gofundme. If you know Charity then you know that the last decade has been very bewildering. Charity was always a very fit, healthy, and hard-working child and teen, and then in her twenties, things came crumbling apart. I watched as my sister's body slowly shut down to the point where she could barely leave the couch, and finally, a few years ago, we began to get seriously worried she would die. At that time, they were renting an apartment where mold was growing rampant. The rest of the family suffered from mold symptoms as well, but her sons’ symptoms were more severe, numerous, and long-lasting than her husband’s and daughter’s. Thankfully, after the Lord provided a new home for them, things slowly began to improve. Among many other things, Charity was finally able to get some diagnoses, most notably for Lyme Disease and mold toxicity. Most importantly, it was discovered that she is missing a genetic marker that plays a key role in detoxifying the body. There is strong evidence to suggest her sons are missing it too. This genetic abnormality has made the road to recovery very erratic.

In 2024, under the care of a specialist in alternative medicine, Charity and her sons made remarkable, life-changing progress. She started regularly attending church, planning outings, and finally glimpsing what a normal life felt like again.

Unfortunately, this period of relief came to an end.

First, their practitioner moved away, leaving a treatment void. Then, Charity and her family endured a serious new mold exposure, followed by a weeks-long exposure to a harmful allergen. Since these recent events, her health has taken a scary decline, and her sons have had a return of a myriad of symptoms, some of which are quite severe. Charity is currently struggling just to get through each day and is once again spending the day miserably sick and homebound.

Thankfully, a couple of options have opened up for the three of them to get treatment, both of which come with a substantial cost. Please help us give Charity and her children the chance for a healthy future. Every share, prayer, and donation brings this family one step closer to finally overcoming this crushing illness.
