Char Gaines has always been a beacon of kindness and generosity in our community. As an elementary teacher at McFarland Unified School District, a talented pianist, and a passionate supporter of the arts, she has touched countless lives. Whether she was playing piano for church and local theater, directing children’s chorus, or giving piano lessons, Char’s love for music and people has always shone through. She has even given scholarships to young thespians so they could attend theater camp, and has helped young teachers financially on many occasions, never hesitating to lend a hand when someone was in need.
Now, Char is facing one of the toughest challenges of her life. After a recent hospitalization, she needs to stay in a rehab home for up to three more months. This means she is not only dealing with the physical and emotional toll of recovery, but also the financial burden of her regular mortgage, bills, and the added costs of her care. Despite her strength and resilience, these expenses are overwhelming.
I invite friends, family, and the community to rally around Char during her recovery. Your support will mean so much to her and help her get back on her feet. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a difference in Char’s journey to healing. Thank you for showing Char the same kindness she has always shown to others.
