My name is Breanna, and I’m creating this GoFundMe to help my sister, Audrey, and her husband, Josh, with medical expenses for their beloved dog, Chapman.

Chapman was our very first “foster fail” — what started as fostering quickly turned into forever, because we couldn’t imagine letting him go. Since then, Chapman has brought endless love, joy, and laughter into our lives.

A few months ago, Chapman suddenly began limping and stopped putting weight on one of his hind legs. At first, the vet believed he had simply torn his ACL, and everyone hoped rest and time would help him recover. But after one and a half weeks with no improvement, Chapman returned to the vet for x-rays, where they discovered an aggressive bone lesion in his leg. The possibility of cancer was devastating news for our family.

To determine whether lesions had spread, Chapman underwent additional x-rays of his lungs. Thankfully, those scans came back normal for his age, giving us hope that Chapman can still live a long, happy, and healthy life.

The next step is amputation surgery to fully remove the affected leg and give Chapman the best chance at recovery. While we are incredibly grateful there is still hope, the surgery and ongoing veterinary care come with significant costs.

We are asking for any support you can give to help Audrey and Josh cover Chapman’s medical bills, surgery, and recovery expenses. No donation is too small, and even sharing this fundraiser would mean so much to our family.

Chapman is deeply loved, and we are hopeful that with this surgery, he’ll be back to enjoying life, playing, and spending many more happy years with his family.
