Hi, I’m Chaplain Nora Jones. I've been a minister for almost 10 years. During my ministry, I declined opportunities to be successful financially if the Lord told me no. Even when I was homeless, I still had my prayer line and was obedient to the call on my life. For His sake, I truly became poor.
When I had money, I gave, donated, and sowed, even when I didn’t have it. I was obedient to what God said to do.
Last Sunday, I went to the ER and was diagnosed with heart failure after already having a heart attack 14 years ago when I had my son, Alan. Now, I’m about to work and have to seek disability, with no income and a son who needs me for support. He has only one uniform for school, which is so sad because my prayer is, Lord, don’t let Alan suffer because I’m following you.
Currently, we have to move this month with no money for housing, and we don’t have a car. When I did have a car and ministry van, I would feed and clothe the homeless. Yesterday, I went to Walgreens to get my new heart medicine, and I stayed and prayed with the lady behind me. Nothing will stop my ministry, but I’m asking you to help me so I can get better and do more!
It’s very humbling to say I need help, but I really do, not just for me but for Alan. I couldn’t even afford to get his hair cut for school.
