Chantz and Alicia are my beloved family members who have faced a journey filled with both hope and heartbreak. After 15 years of infertility, they received the incredible news the week of Christmas that they were expecting a child. Their joy grew when a clinic confirmed the pregnancy and revealed they were already 15 weeks along. As they eagerly awaited their first doctor’s appointment, they discovered through an elective ultrasound that they were having a baby girl—Lydia. The anticipation and happiness in their hearts was immeasurable.
However, as their appointment neared, a snowstorm caused delays, and Alicia’s in-person visit was rescheduled. On the night of her telehealth appointment, Alicia was rushed to the ER in preterm labor. At just 21 weeks, baby Lydia was born far too soon, and despite the best efforts, she passed away only two hours after her birth. The loss has been devastating for Chantz and Alicia, and while their world has been turned upside down, the demands of daily life and bills have not paused.
We are reaching out to ask for your support during this incredibly difficult time. Funds raised will help cover final expenses for baby Lydia and allow Chantz and Alicia the time they need to heal without the immediate pressure of returning to work. Every donation, prayer, kind word, and act of support means the world to them as they navigate this unimaginable loss. Thank you for helping this beautiful couple move forward, surrounded by love and community.
