Our amazing friend Chantel was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. The doctors are still running tests to figure out what stage it is, but we do know she’ll need a mastectomy and hormone therapy (an estrogen blocker) since her estrogen is feeding the tumor. She may also need radiation or chemo, depending on the next round of test results.

This week has already been full of appointments—an MRI, blood work, and genetic testing. Soon, she meets with a reconstruction surgeon and will start preparing for recovery after surgery.

If you know Chantel, you know she’s always the first to help anyone who needs it. She’s kind, strong, and always there for her friends and family. Now it’s our turn to be there for her.

Unfortunately, Chantel doesn’t have health insurance, and the medical bills are already starting to add up. We’re hoping to raise money to help cover her surgery, testing, and treatment costs so she can focus on healing and getting back on her feet.
