Support Chantel Bowers Fight with Breast Cancer

It’s Victoria from Bangers Burger Club.

Our dear friend, Chantel Bowers has been diagnosed at the age of 35 with stage 2/3 triple negative breast cancer. Some of you may even recognize Chantel from Darcy’s Pub. She’s a vibrant, positive, kind-hearted soul and friends to many in the community.

Chantel will be going through a strenuous bout of 16 rounds of chemotherapy followed by surgery and then radiation to hopefully be cancer free in the next year. She has a long hard road ahead but we are hoping with all of your help we can let her focus strictly on getting healthy and beating this and not on her day to day bills that will be coming up over the coming months. Medical EI covers a small portion of her bills, which is fantastic but we can do better so she is stress free.

From Chantel’s mouth “Everyone keeps saying you got this! And shit, yes I do! I know I'm strong and will come out of this on top so l appreciate everyone in my life that's here for me.”

Most people have been touched by cancer one way or another and with that know things can sometimes take longer than expected. We want her to be as comfortable and stress free as possible! We want her back to her healthy life with her dogs, friends and family.

On Monday April 14th, I will be putting on a fundraiser will all profit going directly into Chantel’s hands. Bangers Burger Club will be hosting a “BURG-A-THON” event at the food trailer located at 2960 Bridge St. Victoria BC. Ile Sauvage Brewery will be opening their doors 12-6 that day with a large amount of each beer sale going into the pot for Chantel. This will be an all day event starting at 12pm and ending at 6ish. Our smash burger will be a minimum donation of $20. We have set this go fund me page up for Chantel as well for those who cannot make our Monday April 14th fundraiser. We also have lots of local businesses that will be joining us this day!

Cancer is very close to my heart and after hearing Chantel’s story, I wanted to gather the community together and do something positive! Thank you to everyone who shares the post, spreads the word about April 14th, donates and sends positive vibes Chantel’s way
