Cirrhosis of the liver is a chronic late stage of liver damage that is not curable. However, treatment aims to slow it's progression and improves the quality of life.

Our beloved Chanel was diagnosed in 2023 and has been fighting this disease in silence. She has not been able to work during this entire time, only receives certain government assistance and do NOT qualify for a liver transplant. She takes 9 pills a day to nurse her liver and intakes 5 shots of insulin throughout each day as she is also a diabetic. She needs our help due to the severity of her liver, she cannot take the generic brands of any medication. She also needs help with transportation to and from her doctors appointments, treatment, hospital bills, amongst other things.

Chanel has a huge heart and has been there for everyone she's crossed paths with from family to friends and complete strangers in need. She is a fun, loving, caring and affectionate person with an infectious laugh that when you hear it even from a distance, you automatically burst out laughing because you know it's her.
