Support Chandler's Brave Recovery Journey

Hey everyone, my name is Justis Musick, and the reason why I have decided to start a GoFundMe is for my sister Chandler. Chandler has had a series of unfortunate events take place, and we are in some need of financial support to help cover the mountain of medical bills that we are going to be facing in the coming weeks/months. On October 30th Chandler was admitted into the ICU due to having a brain tumor (Hemangioblastoma). She was in severe condition and had to be intubated until the surgery was able to be performed. The first surgery was performed on Thursday October 31st after the surgery another MRI was performed, and they determined that they would have to perform yet another surgery due to still seeing a mass in the MRI. The second surgery was performed on Friday November 1st, after the second surgery another MRI was performed and the surgery was deemed successful. Post surgery she spent 5 more days in the ICU due to having a drain placed in her skull to drain excess Cerebral Spinal Fluid, and this required specialty equipment that is only available in the ICU. On Thursday November 6th she was transferred to the Neurology section of the hospital where she was then released from the hospital the following day and she has begun the long road to recovery.

Before I go on to the ask, I would like to tell you a little bit about my sister Chandler, she is one of the strongest and bravest people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing and I am lucky to have her as a sister. She never backs down from a challenge and proves it every single day. In the last couple of years Chandler has decided to venture down the path of self-employment, a path that most people would agree is extremely difficult. During these last few years, I have seen her grow tremendously into the warrior that she is today. She has also picked up SEVERAL hobbies, hobbies that are predominantly enjoyed by men, and she kicks butt! This includes one wheeling, wake surfing, snowboarding and surfing, she has even gone as far as picking up a part time job as a surfing instructor at wave simulator, because she loves it so much. Her chosen path of self-employment has been photography, and videography, inspired largely by her boyfriend of 7 years, Giovanni Gonzalez. She has been very successful with this endeavor, and continues to defy the odds even when they are stacked up against her. Due to the location of this tumor, it has had an impact on her motor skills, making her return to work that much more difficult. This just barely scratches the surface of Chandler’s story, but I wanted to keep this as concise as possible.

Now for the ask, we are looking to try and raise $100,000 to help cover medical and life expenses as she makes her recovery. The path to recovery is going to be long and difficult, but I believe that with the support of each and every single one of you, we can make that path just a little less rocky. The money will be used to help ensure her bills are paid while she is out of work, and will also go towards the mountain of medical expenses she has already acquired, and will continue to acquire on her road to recovery.
