Hi my name is Stephanie Garcia and i am raising funds for a dog named Chance. Chance is a tan/brown pitbull who was abandoned by my Nextdoor neighbors. They took 5 dogs with them when they vacated the property and left this guy to figure himself out. I noticed chance a few days after i noticed my neighbors had left the property. I immediately started feeding him and giving him water daily. He hides under structures on the property and does not have any trust to get near anyone. Once i got permission from the owner of the property to go on the property to get him, that is when our personal rescue mission started. I reached out to rescues and they were full or i got no response. I reached out to spca of Houston and they had to abandon the case to save chance because the county judge would not give them a warrant to go on the property. My family and i have since taken matters into our own hands since we couldn’t get proper help from a rescue or the spca. My county does not have animal control or a shelter either. It has been about two weeks of working with Chase physically getting near and the progress is incredible. He is slowly letting his walls down. This dog seems to have never been loved properly in his life. He also seems to have only ever been an outside dog as well. A little bit about myself is that i am a dog lover. If i could save them all i absolutely would. I have four large dogs of my own and they are also pitbull mixes. Chance got his name from my tiktok community as i have been posting his videos on there to spread awareness and everyone has been watching the progress as well. Chance is in desperate need of a trip to the vet. He has most likely never seen a vet in his life. There is a concern of heart worms most definitely. My plan for chance is to get him to trust me, i will take him to the vet, have them do whatever they can and need to do to ensure his health is and will be okay. And hopefully keep him calm enough after to get him back home to my property into his own area with proper housing and items to thrive while i work on him behaviorally.
