For those of you who are here, thank you for taking the time to slow down in your busy day and read about Chance, who is a very well loved horse that my mom (Karen Marcy) has gotten to recently adopt—a lifelong dream of hers to be specific! Getting to know Chance more, my mom has been taking the time to understand her temperaments and specific types of care that is required for her at this point in her life—and discovered that she has various health conditions that make it financially difficult at times to afford the type of care she needs, one of which is addressing her pain caused from arthritis in her front legs. My mom is hopeful that with more financial support, she would be able to help Chance get started on a therapy that would contribute to alleviating that pain.
For those of you who know my mom, she will stop at nothing to give every animal she sees the best quality life to the best of her ability. She has a heart that never gives up and knows the importance of showing consistent humanity towards every living thing. In addition, I know how crucial it is for her to stay connected to her passion for equine therapy, being out in the pasture or as she calls it, her happy place. Growing up, I remember her telling me the story of how she would scrap up spare change just so she could continue doing horseback lessons from the time she was eight years old.
Taking on the new responsibility of a horse is never an easy task, and it’s one she has spent a long time preparing for/looking forward to. But as life does every so often, even when well prepared, we know things don’t go according to plan. In hopes to raise money for Chance and tending to her health, I felt it would be important to share her story. I want to thank you for just being here and reading through this, and if you’re able to support our goal for Chance even with a small donation, my mom and I would be extremely thankful!
Thank you for your time and consideration, take care of yourselves in the mean time! Health is the one true wealth.
Sincerely,
Amber Marcy (Karen’s daughter)
