Support Chanaka's Fight for Medical Answers

My name is Chanaka Navarathna and I am currently battling a severe health issue that has left me disabled and bedridden. My brainstem’s communication with my thalamus and cortex is severely disrupted, causing an extreme dysautonomic condition and also some memory loss. This has completely severed the connection between my brain and body, leaving my metabolism, respiration, digestion, hormonal activity, and many other vital functions either at a standstill or completely dysfunctional.

I’ve had to quit my job, and I find myself in an incredibly difficult place. I am fighting to survive, and I refuse to give up. I am determined to find answers, regain control of my body, and begin my journey toward recovery.

However, I am in desperate need of financial support to travel to medical centers, including the Cleveland Clinic, Mayo Clinic, the Complex Disease Center, and Mount Sinai Hospital. At these centers, I hope to consult with top specialists in functional neurology, mitochondrial dysfunction, autonomic dysfunction, and cranial cervical instability. By meeting with these doctors, I hope to finally receive an accurate diagnosis and begin the necessary treatments.

I am not ready to give up on my life—I want to fight for it. I need the resources to access the care that could save me. Any help you can provide would mean the world to me.
