My son’s stepmom, Chalyse, has battled lupus for years. She’s recently had a debilitating flare-up that has caused a bacterial infection in her intestines, which has turned into flesh-eating staphylococcus, a very serious condition. She is currently in the hospital awaiting news from the surgeon for next steps.

Chalyse is a single mom and owns her own business as a cosmetologist. She doesn’t get paid when she’s not working. There are no “sick days” when you own your own business. Chalyse is a lupus warrior, a cosmetologist, and most importantly, she is an amazing mom. She is raising her two beautiful daughters alone and wants them to be happy and cared for, especially during this holiday season.
