Support Chaitanya Sathe's family

Many of you have asked how you can help.
On Sunday, Chaitanya's father got a phone call that all parents fear--news that his beloved child had preceded him in death. Chaitanya died Saturday after he tumbled down a path leading to the Lower Gorge at Smith Rock. Mr Sathe is traveling alone from India on a 24 hour journey to see his Chaitanya for a final time.
We are asking for help to defray travel, hotel, crematory and miscellaneous costs. These expenses are immediate and significant. Two of Chaitanya's friends are shouldering the above-mentioned expenses to ease Mr. Sathe's burden, but these friends need our help so that they can be compensated and made whole. Any extra money will be donated to the Mazamas, in honor of Chaitanya whose joy in the mountains was irrepressible.
