Support Chad's Recovery and Family

Last night was the worst night of my life. I received a call that Chad was involved in a motorcycle accident and that it was pretty bad. (Details about the accident will not be disclosed at this time as they are not what’s important).

I was going to keep this information to myself and immediate family but, truthfully we need ALL the support, love and prayers we can get. Regardless of if they’re from people that know us or not. I’m struggling immensely with processing what our lives will look like in the foreseeable future and all the healing Chad is going to have to go through.

He is stable but, has a plethora of severe injuries that include: a broken hip, 2 broken femurs, 7 broken ribs, 2 spinal fractures, a small brain bleed and a possible elbow fracture. He is currently in Surgical Trauma ICU and is expected to be hospitalized for quite some time.

He is scheduled for a surgery with an orthopedic surgeon as of now and is currently sedated and on a ventilator for his pain.

All I can be thankful for right now is that he is alive and seems to be receiving great medical care. Although, it doesn’t make coping with such a traumatic event any easier. Chad is looking at a long road of recovery that likely includes rehab and physical therapies. Chad is the sole provider for our family which includes our 2 year old daughter, Avery, and baby on the way (due in August). As much as I don’t want to worry about finances right now the reality is the world doesn’t stop even if MY world has. I still have to figure out how to keep our home and provide for our babies. Anything helps, even just a prayer!
