Support Chad's Healing Journey

My name is Debbie, and I am seeking support for a remarkable woman and dear friend, Amanda Heagy. Amanda is not only an incredible mother; she's also one of the kindest and most generous people I know. Unfortunately, her family is currently facing an unimaginable crisis that calls for all of our compassion and support.

This weekend Chad, Amanda and her ex-husband Corey Heagy's 11-year-old son, was tragically involved in a devastating accident. He has suffered extensive injuries, including second and third-degree burns that cover nearly half of his body, bringing with it unbearable pain and trauma. Chad is in critical condition and has been airlifted from Lancaster General Hospital to the specialized Burn Center at Lehigh Valley Hospital, where he is receiving urgent, life-saving care.

His treatment journey is going to be extremely challenging. For the next week, he will be sedated to help him manage the intense pain and cope with necessary medical procedures. The road to recovery is expected to be long and arduous; he will likely remain at the burn center for at least a month, during which time he will undergo multiple surgeries followed by extensive rehabilitation.

I wholeheartedly ask for your support during this overwhelming time for Amanda and her family.
