Supporting Chad on His Journey Through Cancer
Donation protected
I'm Alexis McPherson, and I want to share the incredible journey my husband Chad Klein and I have been on. It's been a whirlwind of ups and downs, but through it all, we've stuck together like glue and will continue to, through this diagnosis.

Chad's story begins in the small towns around DFW, where he grew up with humble roots addicted to punk rock (Like myself). Eventually, he found himself in Denton, even facing homelessness at one point. Eventually he made his way to Dallas and that's where our paths crossed back in 2013. I was just 19, and he was 23. We hit it off immediately and have been inseparable for 11 years (Like... actually. We've been apart for a total of a week.)

Our journey together has been anything but ordinary. From going vegan for eight years (still going strong!) to kicking smoking and drinking to the curb for five, we've been each other's support through it all. But the journey didn't stop there.
We took on the challenge of building a camper van from scratch, turning it into our home on wheels. Traveling across the country with our beloved cat Trish for 3 years! And when we decided to try our hand at truck driving, we did it as a team. We went to school to both get our Class A CDL, later crisscrossing the nation and embracing the freedom of the open road.

Our shared passion for helping others and learning to heal our own bodies led us to eventually enroll in massage therapy school, and we both became licensed massage therapists. It's been incredibly fulfilling to work together in our mission to help folks heal and uplift those around us. But just when we thought we had it all figured out, life threw us a curveball.

On Chad's 34th birthday, we received the gut-wrenching news: he was diagnosed with Squamous Cell Cancer of the Throat. We're very scared right now, especially since we couldn't afford health insurance this year as I focus on building my private practice. But we have a purpose on this Earth to help people, and we're not even remotely done yet.
I've been reaching out to our community, seeking help and support in any way we can. Whether it's through donations, booking a massage therapy appointment with me, sharing my business, or simply sharing resources, every little bit counts. I believe in giving back, and I'd much rather help others than just ask for handouts.

So, as we navigate this new chapter together, I'll be sharing updates and staying strong for Chad, for us, and for everyone who's been a part of our journey. Together, we'll face whatever comes our way, armed with love, determination, and the unwavering support of those around us.
