My brother Chad Hustead is currently in the hospital after being diagnosed with a rare infection that has a very high mortality rate, even with treatment. He is receiving strong antibiotics, antifungal medications, and pain management to help him fight through this incredibly difficult time. While his lab results are showing some improvement, we know that this condition is often fatal, especially for someone like Chad who is immunocompromised due to another health issue. We are holding onto hope, but the road ahead is uncertain and challenging.

Chad is the main provider for his family, and his illness has put an enormous strain on them both emotionally and financially. His wife and kids are doing their best to stay strong, but the mounting medical bills and everyday expenses are quickly becoming overwhelming. The recovery process will be long, and it will be some time before Chad is able to return to work and support his loved ones as he always has.
