Cesina's Sausage Co., a staple of Beaver County and beyond has had the unthinkable happen to them on December 15th, 2025, just before Christmas, one of their busiest times of the year. A devastating fire has completely destroyed their generational family-owned business.
Cesina’s Sausage is a well-known business in Aliquippa PA, run by the Costanza family. It is named after Cesina Costanza, who immigrated here in the late 1920's through Ellis Island where she eventually settled with her husband, Oresto, in Aliquippa PA. She raised 6 children in a very traditional Italian way with a garden and fresh foods whenever possible. This included a recipe for Italian sausage that she had learned from her own parents. The business uses this same recipe that is over 100 years old.
Leap forward to 1968, Charlie and Rosella Costanza bought a small Deli named Chapel Superette, complete with fresh dairy, meats and other assorted foods including Cesina’s sausage, making its first retail debut. After many successful years Charlie and Rosella, at the urging of Charlie’s brother Willie, decided to open a Sausage company and in 1978 Cesina’s Sausage was established.
Forty-seven years later, Charlie and Rosella’s children, Charlene, Annette, and Johnny, are still making the same sausage their Nonna brought with her from Italy. Still made in Aliquippa, PA, still made ALL NATURAL, ALL FAMILY, and ALL GOOD!
The funds raised here will be used to help Cesina’s Sausage rebuild their facility so they can return to doing what they love: supplying the best Italian sausage to the local community!
As their cousin, I see how much the Costanza family has given back to community. They are a strong pillar in the community and always working towards bettering those around them. It doesn’t matter if they’ve never met you, they will find a way to help and give back. Let’s help them, like they’ve helped so many others. Viva Cesina’s Sausage Co.!
