On April 15th, my husband Cesar was in a serious motorcycle accident on the 95 freeway. He suffered multiple injuries, including broken ribs, a fractured hip, a broken tibia, and severe road rash. The accident also caused an injury that requires him to have a temporary colostomy bag. Cesar is currently in the hospital, facing a long road to recovery.

This accident has turned our world upside down. Cesar is unable to work for the foreseeable future, and his lost wages have left us struggling to cover rent, utilities, and childcare while I balance work and caring for him. On top of that, we are facing mounting medical bills and ongoing expenses for his recovery. What I earn is not enough to keep up with everything, and the stress is overwhelming.
