Our school community needs your support!
Over the past few months, our school has been impacted by the large-scale federal funding cuts that have taken place. For example, César Chávez will lose nearly $120,000 in Title I funds during the 2025-26 school year. Additionally, some of the nonprofit organizations serving our school have lost their funding this school year, leaving our community to scramble for basic resources.
The school's PTA has stepped up to help fill many of the funding gaps, but we need support from our broader community to make sure we can continue providing the most basic needs to our students to help them grow and learn.
Funding from this campaign will support things like our weekend food backpack program, snacks for classrooms, a resource closet stocked with things like socks, underwear, toothbrushes, and other hygiene items. The PTA will be partnering with our school social worker to determine how these funds can be best utilized for Chávez students and their families.
