This is Monica, Marcela, and Melina—three generations sharing Rapa Nui culture through dance and art, bringing people together and empowering communities. I am reaching out on behalf of CES Yanequén—an artistic, cultural, and social organisation dedicated to creating spaces where art becomes a universal language.

At CES Yanequén, we share and celebrate the richness of Rapa Nui (Easter Island) culture, not as something fixed, but as something alive—meant to be shared, transmitted, and connected with other cultures. In the spirit of Rapa Nui traditions, we believe that culture grows stronger when it is exchanged, blended, and reimagined.

Through dance, craftsmanship, and collective creation, our members express this vision by merging influences, exploring different styles of movement, and creating performances that reflect both tradition and openness to the world. Our dance representations and artistic projects are not only about preserving heritage, but also about building bridges between cultures, generations, and communities.

At the heart of our work are our workshops and public performances. We organize dance and craft workshops, cultural events, and masterclasses—sometimes welcoming special teachers who travel directly from Rapa Nui to share their knowledge authentically. These moments are rare, powerful, and essential to keeping the culture alive and accessible.

Our mission is to empower individuals and unify communities through artistic expression. We work with people of all ages and backgrounds, including youth and underserved communities, offering safe and inspiring spaces to build confidence, connect with others, and discover new forms of expression.

Today, we are raising funds to support the concrete reality behind these projects. Your contribution will directly help us:

– organize public performances and cultural events

– run workshops and masterclasses

– invite guest teachers from Rapa Nui

– create costumes, sets, and artistic materials

– cover transport, venue, and production costs

As a small, human-sized organisation, every donation has a direct and visible impact on what we are able to create and share.

By supporting CES Yanequén, you are helping us keep culture alive, not only by preserving it, but by allowing it to evolve, connect, and bring people together. You are helping us share the spirit of Rapa Nui while building a more inclusive, creative, and united community.

Thank you for being part of this journey with us.
