Hello everyone,

My name is Cerena, and my heart is heavy as I write this. My mother and most of my family live in Westmoreland and Hanover, Jamaica, two areas that were devastated by the recent hurricane.

My mom’s roof was blown off her house, and I haven’t heard from her in four days. Power and communication are down across the area, and so many families, especially women and children, have lost everything. Homes are flooded, roads are destroyed, and people are struggling to find food, clean water, and shelter.

This GoFundMe is the start of something bigger. Hope After the Storm, was created to provide emergency relief to women and children in Jamaica affected by natural disasters. But right now, I’m starting with my community, one family, one care package at a time.

Your donation will go toward:

Food, clean water, and hygiene supplies.

Roofing materials, tarps, and basic home repairs.

‍ Care kits for mothers and children who lost everything.

Shipping and local coordination.

Even $10 can help feed or shelter someone in need. Every dollar raised will go directly to families in Westmoreland and Hanover who are trying to rebuild their lives after this tragedy.
