Centennial Pilots Association is a non-profit organization formed by pilots and hangar tenants at Centennial Airport. Recently, Denver Jet Center announced a near-doubling of hangar rents with little notice. For many aircraft owners at Centennial, hangar space is not optional—it protects aircraft from Colorado weather, supports safe maintenance and inspection, and makes continued aircraft ownership at the airport financially practical. This sudden and significant rent increase puts tenants in a difficult position, forcing some to choose between absorbing a major unexpected cost, relocating their aircraft, moving to outdoor tie-downs if available, or leaving Centennial Airport altogether.

The impact is especially hard on smaller general aviation aircraft owners, retirees, volunteer pilots, flight instructors, and those who use aircraft for personal travel, training, aviation education, and nonprofit volunteer flying. If limited hangar space at a publicly supported airport becomes priced or managed primarily for higher-revenue business jet operations, smaller general aviation users may be gradually displaced. This affects not only current tenants, but also future pilots, students, nonprofit volunteer flight programs, aviation education, and the long-term health of the local general aviation community.

Support is needed now because legal and administrative action requires attorney time, filings, records requests, expert review, and coordinated tenant documentation. Individual tenants generally do not have the resources to challenge this kind of action alone, but a coordinated response gives the pilot and hangar-tenant community a practical way to seek fair treatment and preserve reasonable access to Centennial Airport. Funds raised will be used only for expenses directly related to the tenant response, including attorney fees, legal research, administrative filings, public records requests, expert review, document preparation, tenant communications, and coordination costs. All contributions will be deposited into the Centennial Pilots Association account and used for these purposes. Contributions are voluntary and are not represented as tax-deductible charitable donations.

We are asking for help from pilots, aircraft owners, aviation students, volunteer pilots, airport users, and everyone who values general aviation access at Centennial Airport. This issue is bigger than one hangar row or one group of tenants. Please consider contributing to help fund the legal and administrative work needed to respond effectively.
