Support Celine's Final Journey Home

Hello, all! I never thought I’d have to do something like this, but life happens and here we are.

My Mother, Celine has been chronically ill for most of my life but up until recently, her symptoms were managed with various treatments. However, the Oncologists now believe that he blood cancer has progressed aggressively, but the only way to know is a bone biopsy which they don’t think she would survive any procedures they might do. So, that leaves us with one option: hospice care at home, which they are giving her a few weeks tops before she passes.

You should also know that the last year has been especially difficult for my parents financially and with my Father needing memory care, I sent them to stay with my half-sister down in Georgia until I could find an assisted living home for them here in CT. I would love to bring my mother home, where she can spend her last days with family, but she is far too weak to make that trip.

SO, with that being said, I am asking for any help you could give as transporting her back to CT for burial can cost up to $5,000 and on top of that, she was forced to cash out her life insurance policy(like I said, my parents fell on hard times like so many people have)so I’m working with very limited funds for end-of-life expenses.

Many of you know my mother, she worked in the East Haven school system for many years, she probably even wrote some of you a late slip or two during her time at EHHS…or maybe she was a coworker of yours who helped you with one mini crisis or another during the school day. If you know my mom you know how selfless she is and she deserves to come back to CT to be put to rest where she was born and lived her whole life.

Whatever you can do to help is greatly appreciated. Please help me bring my Mother home.
