Support Celestino Guevarra, Jr. Fight Against Colon Cancer

Hi friends and family. The person in the picture is my brother in the Philippines. His name is Celestino Guevarra, Jr, the husband of our youngest sister. He was working in Oman as an Overseas Filipino Worker when diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer. He was asked by his employer to apply for an early retirement because of his health condition. He is a responsible and loving husband and father to his three children who are all still in school. My sister helps him with their financial needs by accepting food orders, but the money she earns is not even enough for their daily needs. In their present situation, the amount of money given to him as separation pay by his employer in Oman was not enough to cover all the hospital expenses. Although outpatient, the chemotherapy alone costs more than 60,000.00 pesos per session.

The burden of worrying about the medical expenses and the tuition fees of their children, two in college and one in high school, is overwhelming considering that hospitals in the Philippines will not treat you if you don’t pay first.
