My daughter, Celeste, has participated in the Invention Convention for Santa Cruz County where her invention was nominated to participate in the State Invention Convention in Sacramento this past April 12, 2025. Celeste's invention was chosen to represent the state of California at the National Invention Convention in the Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation in Dearborn, Michigan this coming June 4-6, 2025. The national competition is a by-invitation-only event and includes students from across the country representing over 100,000 Invention Convention participants. We are thrilled that Celeste has been selected to be one of the student invitees to this prestigious competition. Celeste will be the only student representing her school, Moreland Notre Dame, in Nationals.
Celeste's invention is named Farmer Friendly Gate. This gate is a self-closing gate that allows cars and tractors to drive over it and close itself without the need for a person. This gate does not require electricity or solar energy. It is a safe gate to help keep the animals in the pen. We are extremely proud of Celeste's hard work, creativity, and determination.
This opportunity will be an invaluable educational experience for Celeste and we are hoping that you may help us cover some of the expenses with your generous donation. We appreciate any support you can offer in spreading the word about the wonderful things Celeste is doing with her invention. Any donation is extremely valuable to us. Thank you all in advance.
