Support Celeste Ocampo's Fight Against Lymphoma
Donation protected
My sister, Celeste Ocampo, recently celebrated her commitment to play D1 volleyball at Binghamton University this past week. Unfortunately, after an injury during a volleyball came Wednesday night, she got checked out for a possible rib fracture, but we found out through a completely incidental finding, that one of her lymph nodes in her chest is enlarged and that it may be lymphoma, a type of blood cancer.
It’s been a whirlwind for her emotionally to say the least, as it came completely out of the blue. In fact, right before we got the bad news on Thursday, she was already planning out how she was going to paint her ‘senior pants’ for Senior Sunrise the next morning, and next thing we knew, we were already in the midst discussing the next steps for treatment with the hospital but still have $4000 to pay before we can do anything. It’s been hard for her to grapple with the fact that she may miss the majority of her senior year due to treatment, as well as her upcoming club season.
We kindly ask for your help in being able to pay for her treatment, since insurance isn’t going to cover much of the expenses! Thank you all so much!
