Dear family, friends and community,
Cedric is an aspiring medical student who has dedicated his career to studying community health, addressing systemic inequities, and organizing grassroots activities. But all of these have come to a halt when he was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease.
Around a year ago, Cedric was diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia, a bone marrow failure disorder where the person’s own immune system attacks the organ, causing red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets to decrease to critically low levels. Since his diagnosis, Cedric has made countless trips (1-2 per week) to the ER to receive life-saving blood transfusions, He has also undergone multiple treatments, but with no signs of improvement. The only treatment option left is for Cedric to undergo chemotherapy and bone marrow transplant.
We are asking first and foremost for your prayers for his healing and recovery. If you feel it in your heart to donate, any amount is ample and will go a long way in supporting Cedric and his family. This will not only help them pay medical fees/debts and other related expenses such as transportation and medical supplies but also help them focus on his long journey of care and recovery ahead.
Your kindness and generosity mean so much to us during these tough times. Now, he needs your help more than ever as he suffers from a rare autoimmune disease called Aplastic Anemia that attacks the bone marrow. Every donation, regardless of the amount, will help Cedric and his family face the financial cost of his treatments. Every share will help them spread his story. Thank you sincerely for your compassion, generosity, and support.”
