Support Cecily's Kidney Transplant Journey

UPDATE: On December 19, Cecily’s kidney transplant surgery was successful. She is still in the hospital but seeing a great response from the new kidney.

Her brother Ben, the donor, is also recovering and doing well.

Cecily’s kidney journey started in March 2022. Soon after her move to Jacksonville, her health began to decline. Eventually, she took herself to the ER and was diagnosed with a very rare autoimmune kidney disease, MGMID, which has been a mystery to her medical team.

Cec has spent the last 2.5 years researching and maintaining a healthy lifestyle and was able to prevent the disease from progressing for much of that time. However, now the damage and scar tissue in her kidneys is too much, and it’s time for a kidney transplant.

Right now, the transplant is scheduled for December 19 at Emory Hospital in Atlanta.

Donations will go towards extensive medical bills, as well as medication, therapy and post surgery care.
