Support Cecilia Stevens' Cancer Recovery

Hi everyone. As some of you may know, our mother Cecilia Stevens was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 kidney cancer and Secondary malignant neoplasm in a bone so she has a tumor in her leg. She has been getting radiation treatment and had to have emergency surgery. Now leaving her with one kidney, and a long road to recovery she will be starting immunotherapy.

Our family, myself and most importantly our mother were not prepared for any of this, let alone just the news of our mother having cancer. We were not financially ready for this either and so there has been a financial struggle. With limited movement and pain Cecy had to put her part-time job on hold and has been struggling to make ends meet. Our mother is a really private person and a really hard worker but she has not had the best luck getting the support and resources that she needs to keep up with finances. So today we are turning to our community for hope to get our mother some help. If anyone is able to donate or just share this, it would mean a lot to our family.

Cecilia is doing the best she can to stay positive and continue to have faith but she does get scared because she lost our grandmother (her mom) to Cancer at a very young age. However even after everything she is still the strong, loving mother that she always has been. She is our rock and means the world to so many of us so it has been hard to process everything that she has been going through these last couple of weeks.

Cecilia is a wonderful mother, wife, sister, aunt, friend, and grandmother who welcomes everyone with open arms and never hesitates to help. Anyone that knows our mother knows she’s a humble, sweet lady, working hard and always trying to spend time with her kids and grandbabies. We really need Cecy to heal and not stress while going through this uneasy time. We appreciate everyone who has reached out, and taken the time to read this. We hope that everyone will help us share this and say a prayer for our mother. All donations will be going to Cecilia.

Quick update: Cecy had her 1st CT scan after surgery on 8/16 and we are waiting for results
