Hi, my name is Yaw Appiah-Kubi, and I am fundraising for my little sister, Cecelia Addai, who is just 18 years old and currently fighting for her life.
Cecelia has been diagnosed with acute lymphocytic leukemia, a devastating cancer of the blood. What started as simple tiredness and illness quickly became constant hospital visits, painful tests, and heartbreaking news no family is ever prepared for. Doctors have now confirmed that she urgently needs surgery and intensive treatment to survive.
She is only 18. She should be focused on school, friends, and dreams for the future, not hospital beds, needles, and life-threatening procedures. Some days she is so weak she can barely talk, yet she still finds the strength to smile. She still believes in life. She still hopes for tomorrow.
As her brother, watching her suffer while feeling helpless has been one of the most painful experiences of my life. Our family is doing everything we can, but the cost of surgery, medications, hospital care, and ongoing treatment is far beyond what we can afford on our own. This fundraiser is our last hope.
Your donations will help cover:
• Life saving surgery
• Hospital bills
• Medications and treatment
• Post surgery care and recovery
No amount is too small. Every contribution brings Cecelia closer to survival. If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser with others. That simple act could help save her life.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading Cecelia’s story, thank you for your kindness, and thank you for any support you are able to give.
