Support Cecelia and Her 3 Children During Recovery from Open Heart Surgery

My sister Cecelia—recently underwent open heart surgery and is now facing a long road to recovery.

In November, Cecelia experienced a severe headache and was referred by her neurologist for further testing. An MRI led to a visit with a cardiologist, where she was diagnosed with severe Mitral Valve prolapse and regurgitation—conditions caused by untreated rheumatic fever from childhood.

On February 3rd, Cecelia underwent open heart surgery to replace her mitral valve. While the surgery was a success, recovery has been slow and physically demanding due to complications.

As a single mother of three children, and owner of her small buisness Upstyle Chique Cecelia is now dealing with mounting medical bills and a loss of income while she heals and gets further treatment it has hindered her return to work.
