The Philippines got hit real hard these past weeks. Cebu area got affected real hard with a large earthquake that caused lots of damage and left lots of people homeless and without work. That earthquake was followed by lots of aftershocks and eventually another earthquake. Only a few days after, the Philippines got hit with a massive typhoon (Typhoon Tino) while people were barely getting started with cleanup from the earthquake. To add “insult to injury” another Typhoon (Uwan) hit the area again a mere few days after. Massive flash floods that rose above house tops washed everything away.

Hundreds of people lost their lives, several hundreds still missing and thousands lost everything they had.

People have no home, clothing, food or even clean water.

Thanks to the help of some friends we were able to get to Liloan, Cebu and deliver rice, canned goods and water. In order to make sure 100% of the proceeds got to the ones in need we organized all the purchases, and with family members and volunteers we delivered the items directly to the ones in need. It’s drop in this ocean of need but over 100 families will be able to week for the next week or so while they find their footing.

$5 can provide enough rice to help a small family weather the storm of hunger while they try to get back on their feet. If all my friends donated a few bucks we could make a difference for a few thousand people.

We will personally deliver all the funds collected to friends in Cebu who will purchase and deliver relief goods to some of the affected areas. This way we all will know exactly what is spent and on what. Thank you all!
