My daughter is 1/4 filipino.
There has been a massive typhoon in Cebu, phillipines. 85 people have passed away in a very poor community and many more are unaccounted for. There is another storm coming on saturday. Every last dollar you can donate will go to a real family in need.
I am touch with a man named Edwin who works as a personal remote assistant for my friend in the USA. I have purchased a generator and they are moving inland to help their children escape the storm.
He is putting me in direct contact with people who are in dire need.
In the short term they need:
-generators
-clothing and shoes for children and parents
-airbnbs or hotels inland for the coming storm on Saturday November 8
Longer term:
- building materials to rebuild homes and schools
- access to grief counseling
- medical attention for those with injuries
- probably lots of other things that are to be determined
I will be ensuring that every single dollar donated goes directly to those in need and doing my best to update all of my generous friends and family with information about how they are doing, what they need, and how your direct impact has helped to save lives.
