Our dear friend CB needs our help.

For a long time, CB has been pushing through severe chronic pain, mobility impairment, and other serious health challenges while continuing to attend college and support herself financially. She has been doing everything possible to keep going, but her health has reached a point where continuing to work has become physically unbearable.

Recently, CB lost her job because the pain made it impossible for her to consistently perform her work duties, and some days she was simply unable to show up the following day. After much thought and difficulty, she made the decision to remain unemployed for the rest of the semester so she can focus on healing her body, mind, and spirit and continue pursuing her dream of becoming a nurse.

Anyone who knows CB knows that she is one of the kindest, most generous, compassionate, hardworking, ethical, and dedicated people you could ever meet. She has touched countless lives through her willingness to show up for friends, family, her community, and even strangers with encouragement, support, and strength.

CB has always fought for the dignity and rights of people from all walks of life. Her decision to pursue a career in nursing is simply another reflection of her lifelong commitment to caring for others and advocating for those who need it most.

Now, CB needs the same support she has given so freely to others.

Urgent Dental Care

CB has been quoted $6,543 in dental work, including:

* Treatment for 13 cavities

* 2 tooth extractions

* 2 root canals

Due to the severity of the pain and infections, this work is urgent. Medicaid only covers a limited number of dental procedures per year, which means much of this treatment must be paid for out of pocket. The dental issues are also contributing to ongoing pain and difficulty eating.
