On Friday, May 14th, 2021 Cayden woke up with a headache. He said he was okay and wanted to go to school. That night he started complaining of his head and then threw up. The rest of the weekend he was fine. On Monday, he had a headache and threw up again. I kept him home from school and brought him to the doctor. After a brief assessment, the doctor was unsure but did refer us to a neurologist for a second opinion. An appointment was made for mid June.
During this time, Cayden went to a school track meet. He came off the field and didn't look well, so we went to the ER. While there Cayden got an MRI where they found a tumor. We were referred to Children's the next day. There they did another MRI and they confirmed that Cayden did have a brain tumor located on his cerebellum.
His medical team was assembled and surgery was set for June 9th. Any donations will be used to help cover various medical costs and travel expenses during this time.
Our world got turned upside down in a few short days. Please pray for my son. We appreciate all of the love and support!
