Hello! My name is Cavan Grundy. I am currently a Junior Music Education major at the University of Connecticut and a newly contracted member of the 2026 Bluecoats. I am requesting your help to reach my goal of funding this season's tour fees for my final year of marching. Tour fees for the Bluecoats this summer is $6750. These fees are for education, housing in school gyms and dorms, food, transportation whilst on a national tour, and of course the experience.

The last four years I have marched with 7th Regiment '22, The Academy '23, and the Mandarins '24 and '25, and now the Bluecoats for my age out. These experiences through the years have helped me grow as a musician, educator, and human, but it comes with a cost. These fees grow each year, and it would help me, and my family, a lot if I had your help to fund my final year of eligibility to perform.

I will be working as much as I can to pay for the expenses whilst being a full-time student and working part-time when on break from school. Drum Corps fees have been steadily rising throughout the last several years, and any help would be appreciated. My parents and family have done a lot to fund my years of drum corps while also experiencing being displaced from our home for two years and caring for my special needs sister. We haven't asked for help in the previous years, but it would make my final year a bit easier.
