Support Cats in Need After the 2024 Flood Crisis in WNC

HELP SAVE THE CATS - OUR FURRY NEIGHBORS NEED YOUR HELP!

Hello all! As many of you know, Western North Carolina was recently affected by severe flooding from Hurricane Helene on 09/27/2024, leaving many individuals devastated by its path of destruction. Volunteers and donations have been pouring in from all over to help rescue, shelter, and feed those impacted. There are also many pets who lost everything, and they are in absolute dire need of basic essentials. Many stores in Asheville and the surrounding areas are extremely low or completely out of these necessities. Additionally, pet parents are stranded without any transportation to resupply. Your donation of just $20 can buy an entire Disaster Relief Kitty Kit. Your donation of just $20 can save a life.

Each Disaster Relief Kitty Kit will include:

- 1 Gallon Bag Of Dry Food

- 3 Cans Of Wet Food

- 1 Food Dish

- 3 Bottles Of Water

- 1 Gallon Bag Of Cat Litter

- 1 Litter Pan

- 1 Litter Scooper

- 1 Pet Bed Or Blanket

- 1 Toy

Plus various additional items

Our initial goal is to raise enough funds for at least 20 Kitty Kits. As soon as our goal is met and we have acquired the necessary supplies to create these first kits, we will drive into the areas with the greatest needs and deliver them directly to those who could use them most. We will be using any surplus funds to bring along additional items that some cats may require, such as cat carriers, collars and leashes, kitten formula, and first aid kits, as well as some items for the cats that bark. We will also be distributing bagged lunches to pet parents and caretakers.
