Honoring the Life of Cathy Crawley

UPDATE 12/27/25: It is with incredibly heavy hearts that we share the passing of our dear friend and coworker, Cathy Crawley. Cathy devoted many years of her life to nursing and her family, giving her time, strength, and compassion to care for others when they needed it most. Sadly, she passed away on December 27th, surrounded by her loved ones and coworkers, a beautiful and powerful reminder of how deeply she was cherished. Cathy was truly loved by so many, and that love was unmistakable in her final days—felt in every visit, every hand held, and every moment spent by her side. Even at the end, Cathy remained so very her—finding comfort in small joys, taking sips of her favorite Diet Pepsi, and reminding us all of her warmth, strength, and spirit that will never be forgotten. We love you so much Cathy. ❤️

We are asking for donations to help with funeral arrangements and to ease the financial burden on Cathy’s family during this incredibly difficult time. Any contribution, no matter the amount, is deeply appreciated, and your support means more than words can express.

09/08/2025:
Cathy, a dedicated ICU nurse who recently retired in April, is now facing one of the toughest challenges of her life. After years of caring for others with compassion and skill, she was admitted to the emergency department after suffering both an ischemic stroke and a heart attack at the same time, shortly after her retirement. The stroke converted to a hemorrhagic stroke, and the severity of her condition required her to be intubated for 13 days. Cathy underwent a decompressive craniotomy with an external ventricular drain (EVD) and is now extubated, currently waiting for a PEG tube placement as she continues her recovery in the hospital. Her medical team hopes she will be able to move to a rehabilitation center by the end of the week. The road ahead is long, and the cost of rehabilitation is significant, putting a heavy burden on her and her family.

Throughout her career, Cathy was known for her thoroughness and her unwavering commitment to her patients. She always went the extra mile to ensure everyone in her care felt safe and supported. Now, as she begins her own journey of healing, Cathy is surrounded by her loving husband and children, who are doing everything they can to support her. Cathy also recently welcomed her first grandson into the world, a joyful milestone that she and her family had looked forward to. However, the financial strain of ongoing medical and rehabilitation expenses is overwhelming.

We are coming together as friends, co-workers, and community members to help Cathy get the care she needs. Every contribution will go directly toward her rehabilitation and recovery, giving her the best chance to regain her strength and independence. Your support will make a real difference for someone who has spent her life helping others.
