Cathy King’s journey has been marked by incredible strength and resilience. In September 2024, Cathy was diagnosed with inter ductal carcinoma, a type of breast cancer. She bravely underwent a double mastectomy and months of chemotherapy, and for a time, she was cancer free. But in October 2025, Cathy began experiencing persistent back pain. After many trips to the chiropractor and doctor, she received the devastating news that her cancer had returned as metastatic breast carcinoma and had spread to her bones.
The pain became so severe that Cathy was hospitalized in January 2026. Her oncologist started her on chemotherapy and pain management, and she was supported by an amazing palliative nurse. Unfortunately, the side effects of the medication led to another hospitalization in February 2026. Cathy has recently started a new chemotherapy regimen and is hopeful that this one will be easier on her body. Through it all, Cathy’s spirit has remained strong and inspiring.
Funds raised will help Cathy with mounting medical bills, house and car payments, and provide support for her boys as they navigate this difficult time together. Thank you in advance for helping support Cathy during this challenging journey. Cathy has always been the first to think about others, so now is the time for us to help Cathy put herself first.
