Remembering Cathleen Lesniak: Aid for Sons After Tragic Loss
Donation protected
We are heartbroken to share the tragic loss of Cathleen Lesniak, who was taken from us far too soon on January 18, 2025. Cathleen was a devoted mother whose life was cut short by an unimaginable act of violence in her own home.
Her two sons—a dedicated public school teacher and a newlywed—are now facing the overwhelming reality of having lost both of their parents in a single night. As they grieve, they are also confronted with unexpected and urgent financial burdens, including funeral expenses, legal fees, and the staggering cost of biohazard cleanup of the home, which alone is estimated at $13,000. Both sons are away from work as they navigate the psychological and logistical aftermath of this devastating tragedy.
Any support will help lighten their burden and allow them to focus on healing. Every donation—no matter the amount—will make a meaningful difference. After initial expenses are met, any remaining funds will be donated in Cathleen’s name to the North Carolina Victim Assistance Network.
Your kindness and generosity mean more than words can express. Thank you for standing with Cathleen’s family in this incredibly difficult time. ❤️
I am the partner of Cathleen’s eldest son. Eileen Vallandingham is his Aunt. These funds will be transferred directly to him to start managing the expenses stated above. Thank you so much, everyone. We love you.
