Cathleen Feldman is a dedicated worker and a caring friend. For several years, she has worked at Slim Chickens, bringing her positive spirit to everyone she meets. Recently, Cathleen’s life has changed dramatically after she suffered a large stroke, followed by several smaller strokes. Doctors are still searching for the cause of these strokes, and they have also discovered a hole in her heart. After her initial treatment at Advent Shawnee Mission Medical Hospital, she has been transferred to Johnson County Rehabilitation Hospital, where she is working hard to regain her strength and independence.
Right now, Cathleen is unable to work or manage daily tasks on her own. The rehabilitation center is helping her relearn basic skills like dressing herself, washing dishes, doing laundry, and preparing meals. She is not yet ready to handle these chores on her own, and the road to recovery will be long and challenging. During this time, Cathleen needs support to cover her living expenses, including transportation, her electric bill, internet, and food delivery services like DoorDash. She will also need help with cleaning her apartment, as these tasks are too much for her to manage alone.
We know times are tough for most of us. We sincerely appreciate any help you can provide to assist Cathy during these challenging times. Your kindness and generosity will make a real difference in her recovery. Thank you for all of your love and support.
