Support Catherine's Recovery Journey

Labor Day Weekend 2024 my dear friend Catherine Kolos started to experience terrible headaches, loss of vision, and extreme nausea. She was rushed to the hospital and it was determined she’d had an aneurysm. Luckily the staff at UNMH caught it quickly and performed surgery. Catherine is still recovering but she has a long road ahead of her. Catherine is currently in Albuquerque where she was hired to stage manage their current season. She’s one of the most amazing, smart, and capable people I know, but right now she could use some help.

There is nothing we can do to make her heal faster but we can give her peace of mind by creating a fund for her so that she can take care of expenses once she’s discharged. We don’t know how much rehab she will need, or for how long, but if you can help to ease her burden by contributing to this campaign she would so appreciate your generosity.

(For those of you unfamiliar with the theatre lifestyle here’s a primer: we’re basically nomads, ok. Most of us have no savings, permanent employment, or health insurance. We basically live on love and the chance to get to be in / work on / help create / do anything in a show. So when stuff happens it happens hard. Just to paint the picture.)

Catherine is one of my best friends - she’s does so much for the organizations she works for. Now is the time to give back. Thank you so so much.
